// Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
// Organic food cookbook author
// WALKING with Christ

Like many of the practitioners at Our Well House, Carrie Korem (Vitt)’s journey to her field and profession has been a personal one.

For years, Carrie struggled with IBS and debilitating migraines, which had her taking three different medications. Transitioning to an organic diet full of whole, unprocessed foods brought medication-free relief, until an improperly removed amalgam filling left her thyroid laden with heavy metals. For a year she was plagued by hives, fatigue, and dismissive doctors before being diagnosed with a thyroid autoimmune disease. With the help of a holistic nutritionist, a newly grain-free diet, and a lifestyle that included gentle detoxification, stress reduction, and a focus on nutrition, Carrie was finally able to find lasting healing and reversal of her diseases

Along her journey, Carrie became fascinated by and passionate about the body’s ability to heal itself. She has since earned a certification in Functional Nutrition Therapy, was mentored by the nutritionist who had helped her to return her body to alignment, started a blog and website called Deliciously Organic, and authored two cookbooks, all to share her story, her learnings, and the delicious and healing recipes she’d developed over her years of discovery and exploration

For the last 13 years, Carrie has been helping others in the same way she herself was helped. In particular, she specializes in working with women dealing with thyroid, hormone, and adrenal issues and thyroid autoimmunity.

She knows what it is like to struggle with disease and to be left frustrated and without answers by traditional healthcare. Her goal today is to give everyone she works with the hope and tools they need to live healthier lives

In addition to her FNTP work, Carrie enjoys spending time in the kitchen, outdoors, and with her family, particularly her two daughters. She is thrilled to find herself at home with Our Well House, among people who love helping and healing others as much as they love Jesus.
